I was born in Vietnam and raised in Sweden. While fluent in Swedish and English, I also speak Vietnamese, Chinese, French and still learning Spanish.

My passion for podiatric medicine comes from my work as a field nurse in the Swedish Army in Stockholm and a knee injury sustained during my younger years while playing professional soccer. In 1992, I came to the United States and attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. I graduated from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree. I completed my primary podiatric medicine residency at Cedars Medical Center in Miami, Florida followed by a podiatric surgical residency at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana.

In 2005, I joined Foot Center as a foot specialist and surgeon, since then I have been blessed with the opportunity to treat and diagnose my neighbors in the McAllen, Weslaco, and surrounding communities with various foot and ankle conditions from small infections to amputations. McAllen has become my home and the Rio Grande Valley my town. I am fortunate to have married here and to have witnessed the birth of my daughter at Knapp Medical Center. And although I was not born in the United States and I am not Hispanic, I am a proud American and feel part of the Hispanic community who has embraced and welcomed me. My family, my patients and my staff are the reasons I love my job. I pray God and you the community will continue to allow me to serve you for many years to come.
